Ok, so People like to say that it pays to know the right People, right? Well, this Weekend prooved to me, that that is indeed true! It pays for expensive Dinners. :)
I received a Phonecall early Friday Afternoon around 13:00. Miss Lu had invited me to go to Lunch with her and her Friend from Haikou. So, we went to Lunch at the original Huangliu Old Duck Restaurant where Miss Lu's Brother was waiting for us, and it was really delicious. Miss Lu's Friend, Cherry, doesn't speak or understand Huangliunese, but she's majoring in English in University and her Boyfriend is from Norway and speaks wonderful English and is now attending Harvard University. Because she talks with him a lot, her English is really great(better than most of the English Teachers at my School). So, during Lunch, she was also a Foreigner, because she doesn't understand the local Language where I live. I can understand a bit of it, but it sounds like Monkeys from Outerspace and it's a really really LOUD Language. That's a Topic for another Blogpost though.
Anyhow, after Lunch, I had a few Classes. Afterwards, because it was Friday, I went to the Pavillion in the Middle of Campus. Miss Zhou and I always go there after Class on Fridays because we like to spend the Tyme together and just chat. It helps her build her English and we both have great Personalities, so we share Stories and laugh a Lot. I'm really going to miss Ryan and Miss Zhou's Corner. Haha. Mrs. Yang just happened to pass by as Miss Zhou, Miss Lu, Cherry, and I were sitting there chatting. She invited us to Dinner with her Husband. I was surprised because I know that her Husband is a rich Man, and he lives in Guangdong Province on Business. He was in Town for the Weekend though and wanted to take us out for Dinner! :)
So, we went to Folong(I think that's the Name of the Town) and had Dinner at a fancy Restaurant and it was really good. We had a great Tyme too, all of us love to laugh, so we had a lot of Fun and stayed there for a long Tyme. Steven got drunk, haha. He said he's never been drunk befoure so he wanted to know how it feels, haha. He was sooo funny, because when he's sober, even, he makes really funny Impressions of People and Animals. He always impersonates the "U go bvoi yo" Lady(The Lady who comes to purchase the empty Bottles from our Flat). She's a very old Lady who walks through the Village carrying two Baskets hanging from a Pole which rests on her Shoulder. She wears the traditional chinese "lampshade-Hat" and calls out, "U GO BVOI YO?"(Do you have any Bottles for me?). Haha. That's my Attempt at romanizing Huangliunese.
In the Morning, I had some Classes at one of the local primary Schools. After Classes were out, I went back Home and Miss Lu invited me to have some Noodles at her House. I went over and we talked and decided to be crazy for the Weekend, so we spurratically decided to just go to Sanya out of the Blue with no Plans at all. So we went! When we got to the Bus Station, they said the next Bus would be about 2 Hours later. What a Bummer! So we went through Huangliu asking People with Cars if they would take us, it's quite common here. So we found someone, but there were only three of us and we needed someone to fill the fourth Seat. Just then another English Teacher passed by and I said hello and asked where she was going, and she was going to Sanya too!
Once in Sanya, Cherry's Uncle invited us to eat Dinner at their House with them. We scored another free Meal! :) Haha, and we got to meet some new People. Her Aunt and Uncle were very very friendly and they were funny too. Afterwards, Cherry's Cousin invited us to come to her House just to chat. It just so happens that she is married to the Son of the Mayor of Sanya. So I went to the MAYOR OF SANYA'S House!! It was HUGE and really really nice! I tried a new Fruit, I'm not sure of the Name, but it's just a big, fat, overgrown Orange so it seems...
Later in the Evening, we went to Miss Lu's Uncle's House to sleep there. Her Aunt and Uncle are Friends of mine. They are so nice. I like staying with them. In the Morning, we went to buy our Bus Tickets to Chongpo and for me to buy a Shirt, as I had dropped a Squid in my Soy Sauce and splashed it all over my Shirt... lol So I went and bought a cheap 39 Yuan($5,68) Shirt.
We stopped and had some Taro Milk Tea and steamed Milk at a Cafe called "Fall in Love Ca' fe" because they always make Mistakes on their Signs, Menus, and anything else you can laugh at.
I'm tired as a Lizard so I'm finna hop in the Hay and I'll continue the Saga tomorrow...
